HELP!!! URGENT!!!

Hi you all I am a person who is slightly ticked by the quality of
microsoft word...
anyways, here's my problem...if anyone has had this error, please tell
me how to fix it!
THe problem itself is quite basic.
Whenever I am in the middle of typing, and when I want to bold a word
or sentence, it closes the file i'm working on. Underline and
italicize does their respective proper functions, but
Bold...bold...bold...closes my file! I am really distressed, as i am a
high school student and bold is a key function in my reports...hope to
hear from someone soon!

Hi denniboy29,

Have you tried 'repairing' your Word installation? For Word 2000-XP/2003, use Help|Detect & Repair. For Word 2007, use Word
Options|Advanced|Run MS Office Diagnostics.

Hi try this

open the run prompt and try winword /a and check if this happens? If no ,then
go to add/remove programs and then make word not available and then close
it.Open the regedit (again in run command type "regedit"(without
quotes).Navigate to HKEY CURRENT
USER>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>OFFICE>12.0>word(right click and export and then
delete the key),now minimize 12.0 folder and then you will find word key
there export it and then remove it.Do the same under HKLocal machine and then
get back to add/remove programs and make word "run all from my computer".

Hey Mr. Adam
I think the winword /a isn't giving me this problem, so that means
that whatever I'm supposed to do will probably work
The only thing i have a question about now is what do you mean by
"make word not accessible"?
