Help! Using an MST file to modify installation with group policy

I am trying to modify Office 2003 (PRO11.MSI) to be installed thru group
policy computer configuration. I create the MST file using the resource kit
tool and associate it with the PRO11.msi. Put the file in the same folder
with it and add MST1="path\filename" to the MST section of the setup.ini
file. If I install Office by accessing the share directly and dbl click
setup.exe. the mods i am expecting are part of the install. if I install dbl
clicking on the MSI package or thru Group Policy, they are not. Anyone tell
me what I am doing wrong?

Hi Nick,

The Office 2003 Setup program includes additional logic beyond what you get from double clicking on the .MSI file.

You may want to review this article (and those it links to) from the MS Office 2003 Resource kit.

Hi Bob,

Thanks so much for pointing me to the correct article. Seems half the
battle, the more i do, is finding the right combo of words to search with.
Once I added the MST file to the modifications tab for the new package, it
all worked perfect.
Thank you again,
nick
