Pub isn't perfect, you don't always get the exact same thing, some trial and
error is common in the design process. But I may be able to offer some
suggestions with more information.
what browser is used for viewing?
what display resolution is used on the PC?
what page width is the web publication set to?
did you set a custom height?
are you using a master page?
do you have any objects in the scratch area?
are you using html code fragments?
if so do they contain html or javascript?
did you create a web publication or convert a print publication?
did you upgrade an older version file?
are you applying any formatting to the text paragraphs?
are you formatting the images?
are you inserting any objects?

The more you can explain the web publication and explain how you designed it
the better I can point out trouble areas. You can also gain education by
using the FAQ - http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=30

David et al:
I have the same problem that Sophie describes -- pages look fine on th
worksheet but when previewed graphics & text boxes shift & the nav ba
spreads out so there is space in between each option in what i
supposed to be a solid bar.
I answered questions posed to Sophie hoping that you or someone ca
help me figure this out.
I used a Publisher 2003web template. I didn't convert from an ol
version or a print pub.
I'm using Internet Explorer to preview pages on a Dell Inspiron 860
laptop. The web pages display fine on my husband's laptop. They als
display properly when I view them on my laptop using Mozilla (but th
hyperlinks in the text nav bar don't work).
Resolution is 1920 x 1200 pixels.
Page width is 760 px.
I set a custom height trying to fix the problem with the alignment bu
it didn't help.
I don't think I have any items in the scratch area.
I'm not using any html code fragments.
I have inserted a number of photos and a gif graphic of a map.
I have done some formatting of text (eg changed font size, change
justification) and there is one bulleted list.

Thanks. Luc

I am on a Dell 8600 too and have the same problem with preview. What is even
more weird is that when I try to view the produced HTM page it is still out
of whack. The site is great on every other computer (Including other 8600's
that I have tried). I have sent a page to David for review.

Make sure that the dashed lines surrounding your text and graphics do not
overlap each other. Even though they may look OK in publisher, if those
layout lines overlap, they can cause the text & graphics to become garbled
and cluttered when you save as a webpage.
