Okay, I've been looking, and Looking, and LOOKING, and LOOKING for an answer
to this but can't find anything, ANYWHERE - UGH!
I manage several computers in a lab and simply CANNOT figure out why the
Japanese IME WILL NOT WORK with most (but not all) of our computers - which,
I might add, are EXACTLY the same, and yet IME's for other languages do. I've
tried EVERYTHING I can find (which is almost nothing) and am now quite
frustrated. Our setup is as followings:
15 Dell Optiplex Computers with tons of memory, networked to Microsoft
Server 2003
All computers are configured EXACTLY the same why and run XP Pro with all of
the latest service packs.
Finally, all of these computers have Office 2003 installed, again with ALL
of the most recent updates.
When trying to use the Japanese IME - usually NOTHING happens and the
keyboard cannot input anything (the mouse continues to work). When changing
back and forth between Japanese and other languages (esp, English and
Chinese) EVERYTHING works fine until we switch back to Japanese.
This has now become EXTREMELY frustrating. It would be nice if MS had a list
that dealt specifically with IMEs but I couldn't find one so I'm posting this
here.
Thanks for you help - this problem needs to be solved SOON!
Thanks!
