Help with a macro to alternate between two different terms in a document

Hi all,

I need help writing a macro that I can run that will look at a word
document and ensure two different terms alternate. Also, need it (or
another macro) to alternate two phrases. For instance, assume that
the terms are "X" and "Y". If I run the macro, then whichever term it
first encounters, it will ensure to alternate them throughout the
document. So, if it first find "X" then the next time it sees "X" or
"Y" it will make sure "Y" is there; then back to "X" and so forth. I
need it to do the same for two different phrases that need to
alternate within the document, as well.

Any ideas? I appreciate all feedback.
