Help With An "Auto-Fix" I Can't Find!

B

Bright Spark

I seem to have one of the "auto-fixes" turned on somewhere in my Word
2003 which I can't identify or find to turn off. I have almost all
the "regular" auto stuff turned off like Auto-Text and Auto-Format,
etc., but this "magic" stuff still keeps happening and I can't find
where it is coming from.

The problem is, for instance, that if I am typing in all caps, it will
change the word "THE" to "The" automatically, and if I accidentally
type "teh" it will correct it to "the."

I want it to stop "fixing" me - can anyone point me in the right
direction as to which command I have turned on and how to turn it off.

Many thanks.

In Word 2002 or 2003, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options |
AutoCorrect tab | uncheck the "Correct accidental usage of cAPS
LOCK key" box | OK.

You seem to have overlooked Tools | AutoCorrect Options. In addition to the
capitalization options, there is an AutoCorrect entry for teh > the.
