Help with an easy formula

I just discovered this and after seeing all the others mine is easy, but
I can't figure it out.

GROSS SALES - GS (A1)
GOODS Sold - COG (A2)
PAYROLL - PR (A3)

Formula: GS Minus COG + PR, divided by GS

The way it's written below, it's
(A1-A2+A3)/A1

but, I suspect there is something with a1, a2, or a3 that needs to be done
in a certain order, but it's not written into your sentence that I can see,
maybe;

A1-(A2+A3)/A1

I think though, make sure that whatever is right next to the / has a
parenthesis around the entire value to be divided, or else it would be
divided by the one number first..
