Help with an IF Statement

I have an excel spreadsheet summary that is calculating YTD informatio
but I want it to check back to a different workbook that is seperated b
monthly tabs also calculating YTD numbers. So I was wondering if ther
is a way to link the summary sheet to look up the current month tab an
check the YTD totals to make sure they match and to come back and sa
"yes" or "no". My summary sheet already has a formula linked to chang
the totals for which period it is in so its just a matter of having
formula that tells me that the two YTD numbers balance. If anyone ha
any clue what I mean by this I would apreciate the help.
