You must compact and repair the database.
1. Go to TOOLS-DATABASE UTILITIES-COMPACT AND REPAIR
DATABASE
2.Go to your table and FILE-SAVE AS-COPY OF "YOUR TABLE"
3.Delete your original table.
4.Change "Copy of your table" back to your original
table's name.
5.REPEAT first step Go to TOOLS-DATABASE UTILITIES-COMPACT
AND REPAIR DATABASE
Now your database should start back at 1. It's pretty
simple once you do it. Good luck.
