Help with changing entered data

Help! I'm having trouble figuring out how to change data in spreadsheet.

Suppose I have a unit price list which I have entered into my spreadsheet
e.g. International phone rates cost/min

$0.50
$0.75
$1.50
etc.

All the prices have now increased uniformly by 30%. How can I change all
the cost/min figures so I have an updated data list? Sure I could multiply
all the orginal prices by 130% and put all the new prices in a new column
with a formula, but what if I just want to replace all the old prices with
new prices and not deal with creating another column of prices? Is there an
easier way than to just manually changing the data in each cell?

One way:

Enter 1.3 in a blank cell. Copy the cell. Select the price list.
Choose Edit/Paste Special, selecting the Multiply and Values radio
buttons.

In an empty cell enter 1.3, select that cell, Edit Copy -- then select the cells
you want to change, select Paste Special, Multiply
