Help with conversion error !!!

I am trying to open a file with the extensin of .wmf and I keep getting an
conversion file error with a whole bunch of weird characters..what is
causing this and how do I fix it ? I am also getting the same error on the
same file with a .jpg extension on it ?? how do I fix that ? Tks.

Both .wmf and .jpg are file suffixes used to describe different types
of graphic files.

..wmf = Windows Meta File image
..jpg = JPEG image

You can't open graphic images directly with MS Word.

But you can insert them into Word documents!

Select Insert/Picture/From File from the menu bar, browse for the
required image and click Insert.
