Help with figure captions

Anytime I open up a word doc. the figure captions and
automatic pages have a grey shading on them. I cannot get
rid of this. I never had this befor when I used auto-
numbers. I am shipping this doc to customer and this
cannot be the way it looks. Please help.

Tools | Options | View: Set "Field shading" to Never. But note that this
will affect the display only on your computer. The customer will see field
shading or not depending on the settings on his machine, but rest assured
that if he is seeing field shading it will be because he has chosen to do
so. There is really very little you can do to influence the way your
document is displayed on someone else's machine.
