I would like to know what is the best way to start a new database with BCM.
I am a lawyer who needs to create a database that would match my files.
Each file have a client, an opposing party and opposing lawyer.
I would like to track (communications, documents, appointments, court
proceedings) everything I do with those people (client, opposing party and
opposing lawyer) and be able to link them to one "source" - whether it is an
account, a project, or whatever you may suggest.
I am an ACT! user and the only work around I found was to create an infinite
number of custom fields (with client, opposing party and opposing lawyer and
reference numbers, etc.) .under the same "contact". It does not work.
I may have the same client (contact) with multiple files and each file has a
different opposite party and lawyer - therefore I end up with the same
contact up to 20 times in my database. You can imagine what my iPhone looks
like once I sync the contacts and appointments.
I am certain that Outlook w. BCM can manage my situation.
PLEASE HELP. Thank you.
