Hello,
I've used Outlook for the last three years with no major problems and have
been very, very happy with it. However, a few days ago I decided that it was
time to clean up my computer since it was performing very slowly. I deleted
AOL as well as Norton System Works (although I still have the basic Norton
anti-Virus). But in doing that, I somehow screwed with Outlook and it will
no longer allow me to connect to my IMAP server. It will still allow me to
send out e-mails and my internet is working perfectly fine otherwise. Every
time I open outlook and click on my IMAP a little warning will pop up on the
bottom right part of the desktop saying Imap.so and so is off line. I tried
installing another IMAP account with another e-mail address and the same
problem occurs—I can send out e-mails but not receive any. I really have no
clue what the problem is: I’ve run anti-virus, spyware software, tried
turning my Windows firewall on and off, and more all to no avail. I even
tried restoring Outlook to its original settings,
If anyone has any suggestions I would very much appreciate it. It has been
painful not to have normal access to my e-mail to the last few days!
Thank you very much,
RJ
