I have an Excel database that is linked to about 400 workbooks that
are contained in bout 35 different folders. The database and all of
the folders containing the linked files are contained in a single
folder.
I have received updates for several of the linked files and am trying
to replace some of the linked files with the updates (which are
exactly the same file name as the linked file). When I do this and
open the database I get the error message that some of the files could
not be updated. If I look at the edit links I get a list of nearly
every file in the database even if I have only tried to update a few
files. I have tried doing the replacement via both copy and move with
the same result.
Can anyone give me some guidance on how to solve this problem?
Thanks you for your help.
