Help with maps

I have just bought MS office version for teachers and
students (I am a teacher). I am unable to find the
mapping functionality that I need in MS Excel. Is it
still there, or has it been removed in recent versions?
Is it an add-in or something I have to install separately?

Martin,

MSMap was removed from Excel in version 2000. You can still view
maps created in earlier versions, but you cannot create new maps.
MS recommends that you purchase the MapPoint program -- very nice,
but not cheap.
