Help with - MS Office Access Record-Locking Information

I recently setup an access database on our company
server. Which most managers can access no problem.

But alas one or two managers are unable to open it and
are receiving no error message. It just won't open!!!

They have write access to the folder(i tested this)

but when a different user is logged on the lok file is
coming up as the unkown file icon.

if I copy the application (for testing purposes) to their
desktop it opens fine.

Is this a common error?
Is there a quick fix?
Is it a file permisson error or an access error?

Sounds like your problem managers do not have access installed locally

Hi Guys,

No the managers all have access installed on their C:
drive and the fact that the application works from their
desktop....

Is their any other reason...?
