help with new DGL and Word 2000

Margaret

I have a new computer with Windows XP and Office 2000. I
can download the clips from DGL but I can't use them and
they don't come up in searches. I have the Clip Art in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\artgalry\CAG.EXE. That is the way Office 2000 sets
it up. The new DGL downloads into Application
Data\Microsoft\Media Catalog\Downloaded Clips. When I try
to insert a new clip after I have downloaded it, I can't
find it. Keywords don't work, and they aren't in the
Downloaded Clips category. How can I get Word 2000 to
find the clips with their properties and keywords? I
tried copying the files from where they were downloaded to
where Word looks for clips, but that didn't work either.
Does anybody have any ideas? I didn't have any of these
problems when I was using dgl.microsoft.com, but nothing
works right with office.microsoft.com/clipart. Help!
Thanks!

Hi Margaret,

Are you downloading files in .CIL format or in
..MPF format? For Office 2000 you'd want .CIL
files If you double click on the download
file in Windows Explorer does it install into
your Clip Gallery?
