HELP with numbering pages

Hello everyone,
I have been trying to number a paper I am writing I want the first 6
pages to NOT have ant numbers but on page 7 I want it to start with the
number 1 the next page to be number 2 and so on. Could someone help me with
this or direct me to a place I can get so help.

make a section break after the first six pages, Insert, Break, Section
break next page.
start your numbering on page 7 by opening the footer, and then go to the
drop down menus at the top of the page, to Insert, Page numbers, and in
the page number dialog window, click on format. select "start at" and
put the number '1' in the selection box.
