help with office 2000 automatically opening my dial up connection

Help.... all of a sudden, whenever I open up something
from Office 2000, including any word document, it
automatically opens up my dial up connection and try's to
connect to the internet.
Can anyone help explain why all of a sudden this would
happen...and help make it stop!

Have you tried a Virus scan?
