Help with opening a file with a network

Pam Besteder

Hi All

My husband and I have a wireless network in our home. It works just fine.

Something has happened recently that has stumped us and it involves PUBLISHER.

All publisher files on my computer created before November 2, can be opened
and viewed in our shared folders just fine.

However, any document I create on MY computer and put into the shared folder
is denied access to open or copy for his computer, and both our laptops!

Again, this doesn't happen for documents created before November 2.

We have tried reinstalling Publisher and restoring the system to November 1.

No luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Seems to be a permission problem, I would download FileMon and RegMon from
http://www.sysinternals.com/. Run them as administrator (when no
user is connected), start a TS session as a normal user and try to
run the application.

FileMon and RegMon will show you all "access denied" errors that
occur, so that you can give your users the necessary permissions on
a file-to file or Registry subkey basis.
