Help with opening a new window

Vince

I downloaded and installed Spawn 1.9.9 and for some reason it does not seem
to work. I am using FP2000, I select a graphic, tools, Jimco, Spawn. At
this point I get a message that "Spawn was unable to read data from a
previously created popup". I "OK" this message and continue with the setup
of the popup. My goal is simply to click on a graphic and have it open in a
new window centered on the screen. After I setup the option on all 3 tabs
and switch to preview mode, I click the graphic and the window opens but with
the windows message "Page could not be displayed".

Is there a setting that I don't have in FP200 turned on or some other problem?

Your help would be appreciated.

Vince,

Can you send me this page? The error you are seeing indicates that you are
linking to something that's not quite right. Spawn is only responsible for
opening the window which seems to have happened. :)

If I enter the whole URL like "http://www.msn.com" it will display fine. But
if I click on the "...button" and point it to a local .JPG file is when I
have the problem stated below. I also don't understand why I get the message
"Spawn was unable to read data from a previously created popup" when I select
the link and then tools, spawn. This happens even on the link that I entered
the whole URL that worked. Once you create a link with spawn can you go back
and edit it or make changes to it, like change the page size or location?

Thanks,
Vince

Yes. Please contact me concerning that on my Contact Us page and e-mail the
page to me.

Thanks.
