help with page nimbers

Hello everyone,
I have been trying to number a paper I am writing I want the first 6
pages to NOT have ant numbers but on page 7 I want it to start with the
number 1 the next page to be number 2 and so on. Could someone help me with
this or direct me to a place I can get so help.

Easy. insert a 'next page' 'section break' on page six. Now edit the
footer (double click on it) on page 7 and click 'same as previous'. Now
go to page 1 and delete the footer. This way section 1 (pages 1 to 6)
won't have a footer and secion 2 (pages 7 onwards - although
technically page seven is recognised as page 1) will have a footer.

To insert a section break click INSERT, select BREAK and then chose
Section Break (not page break), Next Page.
