Help with page numbering

Colin Clarke

Hi,
I am trying to change the position of my page numbers in a multi section
document and could do with some help.

The main document is in portrait format where the page number is set at the
bottom right corner. However, I have a table that needs to be in landscape
format and have placed this is a separate section but I want the page number
to be in the same position and orientation as the portrait pages. I can get
the page number in the right position but I can't rotate it to be read from
portrait format.

Can someone explain how I might achieve this please?

Regards Colin

Hi Colin:

This is one of the nastier problems we face in Word :)

You have two choices: rotate the footer, or rotate the table. Most people
would choose to rotate the table: it's easier to get it right.

The following article explains three methods in detail:

Hope this helps

John,
Thanks for the information, I didn't think it would be easy. I have this
problem because I can't rotate the table (too much data) so I'm going to
have to learn how to rotate the footer.
