Help with pick list

Hi all

i am desiging a database for a customer management and need the form so
there is a drop down list of services but when you select the service it
populates a field in another table dunno if it possible,

whould be greatfull if there is someone out there that can help cheers in
advance

You've described "how" you want to solve a business need, but not that
underlying business need/problem.

Right off the top, it doesn't sound like a good (relational database design)
approach to use a selection to populate another table's field.

What's the other field and what's the other table? I agree with Jeff that it
sounds like a flawed design! What are your tables and how are they related,
and what do you want to happen when a service is selected?
