help with printing problem

i have a word doc that is in color but i can't get it to print in color. i have selected color from the print menu and have selected color on the printer as well (and yes, there is new colored ink in the printer)...other documents are printing in color so it isn't the printer! any suggestions will be appreciated! thank you!!
