Help with Project Workspaces

S

Sunil

I am in the process of learning the basics of Project Server.

Currently, I am running into difficulties on setting permissions on what a
user can/cannot do in a Project Workspace.

I would like to allow basic users to create risks, issues, and discussions.
Is this possible? If so, where should I be looking for the settings.

Btw, I also own and have read 3 of the MSProjectExperts books. (Green,
Orange, and Blue covers)

Thanks.

Sunil,

I assume you are using Project SErver 2007
By default ( out of the box) all team members that you assign to a project
have read access to the project workspace. As soon as you assign a team
member to a task, they get contributer access, meaning they can add Risks and
Issue etc.

I hope that makes it clear

Sunil,

Marc has suggested the exact answer.
On top of that, you can also assign permissions to the project
specific team members also. This can be down is the group settings.
