Help with simple formula

S

SS

In cell k27 £309
In cell J28 20% (this % can vary)
In cell K28 I want £309-20%, which should be around £247.20
I am getting £308.80

Using this formula K27-J28, I know its wrong but can`t work it out.

Would someone please correct for me.
thanks

You cannot subtract a percentage in that manner.

=K27-(K27*J28) entered in K28 formatted as number with 2 DP

Returns 247.20
