Help with synctoy and OneNote Table of Contents

I am currently using OneNote 2007 on my desktop and my laptop. It works
great! the sync feature rocks! But here is my problem. I recently installed
Synctoy to keep my pictures, documents, and music in sync between my laptop
and desktop. When I run the sync tool, it keeps trying to write OneNote
Table of Contents.onetoc2 files to my laptop.
Does anyone know what these are and if there is a way to tell Synctoy to
ignore them?
Any help is greatly appreciated. As it is now, I just run preview and
uncheck all the onetoc2 files.

You should get SyncToy to completely ignore all OneNote files. You might
have to move your OneNote files out of My Documents and put them in a
separate network share that SyncToy doesn't touch.

Is it safe to move them? Where to? They are hidden files I think. In fact
I don't know that I can actually find them. I have only seen them because
synctoy continuously finds them.

I should say that my actual OneNote folders are located in a shared documents
folder that Synctoy has never been told to look at, Synctoy is finding these
onetoc2 files in 'My Documents'. I don't have any notebooks in there....
I am confused.
Thanks

Go look for the files in My Documents. It could be that there are
remnants of the default notebooks created when you install ON. Just move
the entire folder they are in somewhere else, e.g. to your desktop. Then
see if SyncToy still complains. If it doesn't, check that ON is still
working and not recreating the files automatically.
It might be a good idea to make a backup copy of your notebooks before
you do this.

The problem is that no matter what I do, I can not see these toc files except
for through SyncToy when I am synicing them.

Open an Explorer Window, e.g. My Computer. Tools, Folder Options, View.
Select Show Hidden files and folders.
