Help with text form fields and instructional text.

I am trying to create a text form field and then have instructional text in
the box that disappears when you type text into the box. I am trying to
follow the steps in the help box but it is not working. Any step by step help
is appreciated.

NOTE: I am getting hung up on step 5 in the microsoft instructions... the
'Remove content control when contents are edited' box isn't there when I go
to properties.
