Help with timed out error in Outlook 2007

The Commish

I am a disabled adult who takes a lot of time to type. I get the
following error message in Outlook 2007.
Sending reported error (0x8004210B) The operation timed out waiting
for a response from the sending (SMTP) server.
I’ve been trying to resolve this issue for about 4 days. I use Windows
XP with McAfee Security Suite and have disabled the email scanning. I
have also created a new profile but the problem still occurs. I’ve
also tried other suggestions I found online but had no luck. Can
somebody In Outlook 2007 please help me?

So this problem occurs AFTER you click send, that would suggest it has
nothing to do with your typing speed, hwo do you connect to the
internet? said:

Disabling the mail scanning featire may not be sufficient. Completely
uninstall the AV program and reinstall it without the mail scanning feature.
Increase your server time out value on the Advanced tab of your account
properties. Make sure your send/receive interval is no less than about ten
minutes. Use your mail provider's help pages to make absolutely sure that
your SMTP settings are correct according to those help pages. Use the Test
button in the account properties to see if sending works there and report the
exact text of any error messages if not.

I have tried all of the above suggestions with no success. My Mcafee
Security Suite does not give me the option to install without the mail
scanning feature. I now use Outlook Express with no problem. I prefer
Outlook because of the many extra features. Any other suggestions?
Thanks for everyones help so far.

I've never seen an antivirus product that doesn't allow this.
