Help with "unexpected file lock"

I have an excel spreadsheet with multiple pages shared on our network
(Server 2K and office 2K). Multiple users access it to make changes to
their page (most users run win 2000 pro) but I have one person that receives
the error, "unexpected file lock" for their name and are unable to save
changes to the spreadsheet (he was running win NT). If he logged on to
another machine on the network he don't get the error. We gave this person
a new machine with win 2000 pro and office 2000 and still get the error.
Any Ideas. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
