Help with website photos!

Rhonda

Hello,

I have always used Publisher for my website using Windows
98 and Publisher 2000. Recently, I got a new computer
and I am running Windows XP and have my Publisher 2000
loaded on it. When I put new photos on my website now,
they are real grainy, they are no longer clear images.
My camera is the same, software that pulls the photos
from the camera is the same. Any idea what is going on
here? For an example of what the photos look like go to

Johan,

The files ARE JPG in my publisher file, they now get
converted to gif when I save as a web page. The help
section says that it's because there are overlapping
objects, however this is not so. I haven't done anything
different except I now use Windows XP. Can you help me
out?

The OS is not at fault. The file would have overlapping items. I cover this
on my sites FAQ page. If you are unable to determine where the overlap is
occurring you can send the pub file to me for evaluation.

Rhonda,

Publisher will also convert your jpg files to gif format
if you edit them within Publisher; such as when you crop
the photos in Publisher. Edit the photo(s) outside
Publisher to how you want them to appear and reinsert the
photos to your web page(s).
