help with Word table of contents

Normally when updating the table of contents you get the option t
either update the whole TOC, or just the page numbers. This feature (
dialogue box that pops up to ask which one you want) is usuall
available after clicking "update TOC." It has always worked for me i
the past on the same computer, running same software. All of a sudde
now it only lets me update the whole table - the dialogue box that ask
which one I want no longer pops up. This is a big problem for the wor
