Hi All

I recently used a word document that was brill to use, when you typed a code
such as "WD 13" and pressed enter a full paragraph from another document was
inserted.
How are such documents created, i have a full surveying document that i want
to use and want to be able to just type a code and the paragraph i want be
inserted into a schedule of works.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Save the paragraphs as autocorrect entries.

AutoText is standard Word functionality - no programming required! Check out
the Word help topics on AutoText for more info.

With Word versions up to Word 2003, type the text you want to save, select
it then Tools > Autocorrect Options > Autocorrect. The selected test should
appear in the box (at least as much as will be displayed as will fit) add a
trigger command to the Replace box eg WD13 . If the text formatting is
required click the formatted text box. OK out of the dialog. Repeat for each
other text.

In Word 2007 add the autocorrect tool to the QAT (Quick Access Toolbar) as
the alternative route via Word options is tedious for more than one entry.
