help with word

i am trying to make an invoice on word, however, it wont give me
a scroll bar and I cant move up or down the page. Also, when I
type, it types up and down, not across. Can somebody help me?

Go to Word > Preferences (in Word 2001, Edit > Preferences, or in Word 98,
Tools > Preferences). Then, click "View", and, under "Window", check
"Vertical Scroll Bar". Click OK.

Assuming these problems happen with your new blank documents, test your
Normal template. See here for directions on how to do that:
