When I was in college in the early 1980s, a Pascal programmer wrote a
little program for me. It was a fun program, with a lot of potential.
And it was extremely helpful.
I have purchased a copy of Access 2003 Power Programming with VBA,
with the intention of writing an Access version of that Pascal
program, which I no longer have. Unfortunately, the book is just
sitting here. I am just swamped with other tasks that I cannot avoid.
And the need for that little program grows.
It does not appear that I am going to be able to devote the time that
will be required to tackle this problem in the way I had intended:
starting with page 1 of that book and learning to become an Access VBA
programmer. It is not happening; it probably will not happen.
So I am writing to ask whether anyone would be willing to assist me in
approaching this problem from a different angle. Instead of reading
the whole book, I would like to focus on this specific program.
Ideally, a skilled programmer would sketch out the program for me and
then help me understand its parts, so I can tinker with it. That
focus on one little program seems less intimidating than an attempt to
start by learning the whole programming language.
This would be a way of making some progress without neglecting my
other obligations: progress, not only in getting the program written,
but also in gaining a toehold into doing some actual Access VBA
programming.
If anyone is interested, please feel free to respond to this post
and/or e-mail me privately. Thanks in advance.
