help! Word doc 13 megs-- images deleted, but not really deleted?

I cut and pasted some text from document 1 into document 2. MS Word
copied the images as well. I right-clicked on each image and "cut"
them. I can no longer see the images. I saved the file and it's 13
megs. It's a big document with a complicated table of contents. It
does have a header and footer, but other than that it should not be so
big. I believe the graphics are stored in the document and I don't
know how to delete them if I can't see them.

thanks for any advice,

Don

The most obvious cause of your problem is that you have copied
graphics objects with 2 different wrapping styles (inline vs.
floating) AND you are viewing the document into which you copied the
graphics objects in Normal view.

In Normal view you can only see graphics objects with the inline
wrapping style; try switching to Printlayout view (Word 2000). You
should be able to see the previously hidden graphics objects (floating
wrapping style) and delete them.

Good luck!

yeah, you know what it was? change tracking! for some reason I ended
up with weeks of changes to approve from an earlier author.
