Shane,

The most common reason for PC users inability to open Word for Macintosh
documents is a lack of the .doc extension. You can simply change the name of
your documents so that the name ends with .doc. For example if the file name
is My Christmas Vacation change it to My Christmas Vacation.doc.

Word X can do this for you when creating new documents. When you choose
File - Save As, on the left side of the dialog box you'll find the check
box Append File Extension. Checking this will add the appropriate extension
so that PC users will be able to easily open these files.

Hi Shane:

Yeah, you need to save back to RTF for those customers. You are several
versions of Word ahead of them.

If you tell them to go to the Microsoft website, they can download a Word 97
Filter for their PC that will enable them to read your documents.

Hope this helps
