Help - Word terminates

Can anyone help me???

I've had Word 2002 working happily on my Dell laptop running Windows XP SP2
for ages. Suddenly today it starts showing the Word has had an error and
needs to close box. It closes, restarts then nearly straight away shows the
error again. Running the fix problems option from the setup disc doesn't
help and upgrading to Office 2003 doesn't either.

I've not installed any new software or hardware on my pc.

Any ideas?????
