Help, word will not start

I get an error that reada (MSSript: error unknown)during
start up. When I use the start menu or the program icon
the Microsoft Word start up screen comes up, but then
stays there. I tried to repair the program, and unistalled
and reinstalled it, still no help.

Any help would be good
