I've posted an example of my workbook at

i need to put a number in column 1 sheet 1 and the name
from that number on sheet 2 will appear in the appropriate
cell, The formula i used works ok with numbers but i get
an error with text #VALUE, does anyone have a different
way of doing it or know where i going wrong

Looks like a fairly simple vlookup will do that. I will be glad to look at
