HELP!!!

I have a licensed version of office suites 2007. I opened a email attachment
from a known source and since have spent the remainder of my day trying to
fix what is wrong.

The attachment I opened I couldn't delete or CNTRL ALT DELETE so I shut off
the comp. Since restarting comp I can't open Outlook. I'm receiving this
message: Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook
window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the
file C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst. Quit Outlook and all mail-enabled
applications, and then use the Inbox repair tool (Scanpst.exe) to diagnose
and repair errors in the file. For more information about the Inbox repair
tool, see Help.

I can't restore I don't know why
I uninstalled and reinstalled Office suites 2007.
I've run a ccleaner a registry cleaner and virus scan all is good.
I still can't open Outlook!!!

Did you run the Inbox repair tool? Sounds as though your PST is corrupted
(hence the errors) and can't be opened. The repair tool, scanpst.exe, would
be just what you need to do in this case.

Can you tell me how you found the pst file for a Vista computer? I have the
same problem right now. I found the scanpst.exe but can't find the pst file.

Did you do a file/folder search for *.pst? You have to choose, under
Advanced, to search hidden files and folders. You may have two PST files, one
called archive.pst and one called outlook.pst. Those are the default names
for each, unless they have been changed.

Ask Outlook. FIle>Data File Management or in Control Panel's Mail applet,
examine the Data Files tab.
