I think this is a repeat. Sorry. I keep sending something
before I have finished writing it! Anyhow, questions:
1. How do I add a 1/2 or 1/4 symbol to an email, and
2. What is a hyperlink and how do I use or find it?
Many thanks....

1. Use Word as the editor and set your auto-correct options to use the
smaller symbol

2. Hyperlinks -

Hyperlinks are the underline words usually blue in color similar to the
links in my signature below. Click the a link below and it takes you
directly to the MS Clipart site, Template Gallery, or to the Office Home
Page.

Thanks Paul... Finally figured it out -- wasn't using the
number pad on my right. Final question: Where do I go to
find the symbols that are available by using the alt+xxxx
thing? I do appreciate your help on this stuff....

Cheers,
Bruce

Open Windows' Character Map and select a character. The shortcut key
appears near the bottom of the dialog box.

If the Character Map component wasn't automatically installed by
Windows, you can add it via Add/Remove Windows Components.

In Word 2002 click Insert -> Symbol, then select a character. The
shortcut key appears near the bottom of the dialog box.
