I have Office XP loaded in my computer, but accidently
deleted one file. I don't have the CD-ROM and setup is
looking for the file. How can I retrieve the file
(C:\OfficeXP\Files\PFiles\MSOffice\APPData\MS\OfficeData
\Data.Bak.) other than System Restore without the CD?
Thanks...

The file in question is an "Office Activation file" and should normally
be here:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\Office\Data

(dot) bak indicates that you tried to install Office twice - one retail
version and one corporate version!

You could copy the file (data.dat) and then renaming it to (data.bak)
once placed in the right folder. Please take a copy of the file before
you do anything.
