Help!

I purchased a Sony Vaio PCV-V300 Desktop Computer which
has Microsoft 2003 Office on it. I have taken a file
from an older computer that I own which comes from
Microsoft 2000 Office. As a result, my computer is
telling me that the document is locked. I need your
help. I need get into my old 2000 Microsoft Word
Document on my new Sony Vaio PCV-V300 Desktop Computer
which has Microsoft 2003 Office on it, including
Microsoft Word 2003.

I take it you copied a *.doc file to new pc, the My Documents Folder?
The *.doc file is not marked read only?
In Word2003 you've opened the doc?

If your document file from your older machine is encrypted,
remember to remove the encryption before you copy out.
