Help!!

I have used some data recovery softwre to recover from a
crashed hard drive. I have recovered all of the data, but
when I open up any of the Word documents all I see is
Gobbledygook. It asks me if I wish to start the encoding
that makes my document readable all I get is this sort of
nonsence:
