hi. i try to copy a column with data like this:
2-5
3-4
10-3

i want it to paste it as text format, but excel automatically changes
it to date format like:
feb 5
march 4 , etc

i tried to change the cell format to text before pasting it, but it
still automatically got changed to date format again.

help please!

in xl2002 paste special - use either number & formats or values & formats
BTW. Many people will NOT bother to look at HELP as a subject line.
Maybe "Paste question"
