Greg Nickolson

I have reviewed all your responses to this problem. I
noticed a lot of people get this issue. Cant seem to
find any resolve though. I know the rules. I killed the
OoOA and re-did, tried it from other machines, checked
settings, etc. Throw me another bone...

Exchange 5.5 sp4
Outlook 2K sp3
no rules running
allowed to reply outside office
2 users w/ same prob in office of 150

To get up to speed, are you saying that it does not work *at all* for some
people but it does for others? Or are you saying that it works internally
only? If it is external people who do not receive the OOoA, what mail
clients are they using? Are your people all configured with Outlook 2000 in
Corporate or Workgroup mode? Check Help->About, second line should say.
Are all your people just using the default profile and not a second Internet
Mail profile?

I really don't know what responses you have read and what you have not. So,
can you give me a brief synopsis of your problem, and what you have tried
doing to resolve it?

Sorry - then I am stumped. I suppose that you have documented all of the
details of the mail profiles, settings, etc. from those where it works and
those where it does not, right?

Oh, and one weird thing that you might want to check, see if the user has
local synchronization of system files turned on... seems that setting can
have all kinds of strange side effects... for me, it was Acrobat Reader
rebooting my Win2k machine at work.

| We're all running Outlook 2K Corp. It does not work AT
| ALL for at least one user. Only uses one mail profile
| (default - MS Exchange Settings). Does not work internal
| or external. The only difference between his setup and
| others is that he has another user with the "sent of
| behalf permission" selected. (no, there is not an
| alternate reciepent selected) I also know it has worked
| in the past for him. I have tried turning it off/on,
| also tried enabling it from other workstations, the good
| old MS reboot that fixes everything*. No luck yet. I
| guess I really dont know where to go from here. hope
| that helped...
