Hi anurag i have exactly your problem

Hello Everyone,

I have a brand new installation of Project Server 2002 and Project
Professional 2002. I'm having problems connecting to the server from
ProjectPro client. I can successfully login to the project server via the
web access. I'm using project user accounts for authentication.

My client machine is in a different domain then the project server. I've
setup the server account under Tools->Enterprise Options and also under
Collaborate->Collaboration Options. "Test Connection" works fine. But when I
try to login to the Enterprise Account, I get the error message "Project
wasn't able to connect to server. Check your network connection. Ensure that
enterprise features are enabled". Both the network and enterprise feature
are fine. Clicking Cancel on the error mesage box shows another message:
"Cannot connect. Project was unable to establish connection. this could be
due to network connectivity, invalid username/password, lack of global
template, problems with database....".

I've seen postings about similar problems but haven't seen a post with
problem resolution.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mohsen
